Fresh & Easy has recently introduced a few new sorbet’s and gelato’s to their frozen desserts section, amoung one of them is their new Pineapple & Orange Sorbet.

This sorbet smells very much like real orange and pineapple! Made with Orange Juice, Water, Sugar, and  Pineapple Juice Concentrate among other ingredients, it is very tasty!

This sorbet is has a very overpowering orange flavor at the beginning with a finishing pineapple taste, and a smooth orange aftertaste! This remind me very much of a smoothie if it was to thaw out a bit more and drank with a straw rather than eaten with a spoon!

Every pint sized sorbet contains about four, half cup servings, each containing roughly 130 calories, all which originate from the 29 grams of sugar! Each serving of sorbet is packed with 60% of the daily recommended allowance of Vitamin C and is free of Dairy and Fat!

I would recomend this to people who love orange flavored smoothies, or orange flavored food. I personally would not buy this considering I am not a huge orange fan, I wanted something with a bit more pineapple. Although this seems to be great for people watching calories, and dieters!

Our fellow Enthusiast over at Temple of Fresh & Easy has writen about the Roasted Banana Gelato, and this is what they had to say;

You know how some “banana flavored” stuff tastes way too banana-y?

Well, not this little pint of deliciousness.

The roasted banana gelato yields a creamy, yet light, taste that is exactly like how it should: Fresh banana caramelized with brandy and brown sugar, blended into milk and churned to perfection. No chocolate chips or any other fillers to spoil the fun.

Whose ever idea this is to pretty much blend a banana foster into a gelato, it’s BRILLIANT.

If I don’t watch it, or if my lactose intolerance stomach doesn’t protest, I would’ve eaten the whole thing in one session.

Verdict: Nirvana.

I would have to agree with what they had to say about the Roasted Banana Gelato, unfortunately I am not a big fan of banana Flavored food, so I would probably not go out and buy this item on a whim. But I did find it very tasty and sweet.
