After visiting my local grocery store and buying some of the beer that intrigued me, Caguama, I felt that it resembled Fresh and Easy’s Taurino a bit too much.

After reading the label and a bit of googling, Ive come to the conclusion that;

Taurino & Caguama are one and the same! Except FNE has made Taurino their mark.

Here’s a few things to look into…

both are product of El Salvador.

both are Brewed and Bottled by Cerveceria La Constancia San Salvador, El Salvador.

both have same bottle shape.

both are best with a lime wedge and salt!

both have a fabricated story on the bottle which explains the ‘mascot’ for the beer.

Maybe its just me, but just thought I would point this out.. :-) I still say FNE has the best deal on this specially right now at $5.99 for a 12 pack!

Also, if im wrong about my assumption on taurino=caguama, i need to go out and get more beer and see if there is a similarity when they are side to side…:-) Ill post an update!

As some of you might have noticed, Fresh & Easy carries a beer named, Taurino which sells for a relatively cheap price of about 7 dollars here in California (+crv and possible tax). I decided to give this beer a try!

Unfortunately my beer experience is very limited, but i will try to explain my experience to the best of my abilities!

From what I understand Taurino is a Store Brand Beer! First time i see a store brand beer, or recognize one! You can tell the type face for the word Taurino is set in Geometr415!

On to the taste…..

The beer tasted very light, much like cheap bear would taste. In comparison to a CORONA EXTRA, this beer was very light in flavor! The after taste was very minimal, and well not much to say or describe other than I felt it needed more….I will admit I do prefer Ale’s… This beer did go very well with a lime in it and a pinch of salt. Not to mention who can beat the price for a pack of 12 bottles.

All in all, I would probably buy this beer, because of its appeal and what I think is cleaver package design. I also love the price, and well it goes very well with a hint of salt and lime!

I say enjoy the beer, it wont break your pocketbook to try it! I would love to hear from some one out there who has tried this and has more beer experience! :-)
